Mobility Research Report: INPG -> Technion (mid October 2006 - mid January 2007)

Research Summary

I spent 3 months in Haifa -- mid Oct 2006, Nov, Dec to mid Jan. 2007. I
worked mostly with Craig Gotsman (my host at the Technion) and with Daniel
Keren (from the University of Haifa).

This work is about surface reconstruction from a point set (WP5). The main
idea is the use of a Mahalanobis distance field for extracting continuous
information from the point set. The results are promising, and we continue
to collaborate. Publication is planned shortly.
