Held as an integral part of the Sixth ACIS International Conference on Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Networking, and Parallel/Distributed Computing (SNPD2006)

The ELTEC 2006 workshop aims to explore the current status and possible future scenarios for the technological aspects of e-Learning. By investigating the issues and challenges, and sharing experiences from yesterday and today, we hope to stimulate the dialogue internationally and thus contribute to the status of e-learning tomorrow. The topics include, but are not limited to the following:

Authoring tools for e-learning
Intelligent e-learning technology
Available & preferred instructional technologies
Interactivity in e-learning platforms
Collaborative learning
Learning & content management systems
Developing an organizational e-learning strategy
Mobile learning (M-learning)
Developing tech platforms for successful online learning experience
Societal issues (legal, standards, diversity issues and cultural challenges)
Evaluation/performance measurement & assessment
Good practice concepts & examples
Synchronous vs. Asynchronous solutions
Virtual universities, classrooms, and laboratories
Industry-university partnering

It is anticipated that a special issue of an international journal will be devoted to the best workshop papers. Tutorial proposals are also welcome, and should be directed to the conference chairs.
