Call for papers - Third European Conference on Colour in Graphics, Imaging, and Vision (CGIV2006)
The Society for Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T) invites you to CGIV 2006, the Third European Conference on Colour in Graphics, Imaging, and Vision to be held at the University of Leeds, UK, June 19-22, 2006. CGIV 2006 will cover a wide range of topics related to colour and visual information. Its single-track structure will encompass technical areas that strike a balance between academia and industry.

Submission Procedures
Prospective authors are invited to submit papers for presentation in the technical areas listed to the right. A 2–3 page technical summary (1000+ words) indicative of the final paper content will be reviewed by the Programme Committee when submitted by November 7, 2005 (deadline extended). Further submission details can be found at www.imaging.org/conferences/cgiv2006/. Authors should indicate whether they would prefer to present their work as an oral paper or poster; however, the final decision on the type of presentation is at the discretion of the Technical Programme Committee.
A robust review process will be carried out. Names of authors will not be disclosed until the review is completed and reviewers will remain anonymous. To achieve this, authors are requested to place all identifying information on a separate cover sheet that can be removed before the paper is made available to the committee. Electronic submissions via IS&T's web-based form are strongly preferred, but those without web access may phone +1 703/642-9090 or e-mail cgiv@imaging.org for alternative submission methods.
For each submission, the following information is required:
1. Preference for oral or poster presentation.
2. List of key words and a classification of the paper content as in the suggested topics.
3. Contact information for the author(s), including postal mail, phone, fax, and e-mail address.
Submit a paper for review
Those whose abstracts are accepted will receive an author’s kit with instructions for the preparation of the final paper, which will be published in the conference proceedings. Final papers are due by February 3, 2006. The conference committee also welcomes suggestions for tutorial presentations.
Authors of papers presented at CGIV 2006 may be invited to develop articles for special issues of the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology or the Journal of Electronic Imaging.
