Ph.D. Student
position available at MIRAlab, University of Geneva
MIRALab, University of Geneva is looking for motivated enthusiastic students. Research in the virtual reality, augmented reality, real-time graphics, and/or interactions will be conducted with the research team through a full cooperation with on-going projects. The candidate is desired to have a background/knowledge on:- 3D computer graphics and interaction
- Virtual and Augmented reality
- Good experience in C++ programming
Also experience/knowledge on the database and networking is appreciated.
Possible Ph.D topics are:
- Modeling and rendering method for the virtual garment systems
- Haptic interface for the virtual garment system
- Modeling garment patterns from photos
- 3D interaction mechanism
- Vision-based augmented reality
MIRALab, University of Geneva is interdisciplinary laboratory with a research focus on the virtual reality and the virtual human. Ability and willingness to work in interdisciplinary international environment is required. Official language is English for the research.
