MRCS aims to\n\nserve as a forum for the dissemination of state-of-the-art research,\n\ndevelopment, and implementations of multimedia content extraction and\n\nclassification, multimedia security technologies, and innovative\n\napplications. IMRCS is co-sponsored by IAPR, EURASIP, TUBITAK, ITU, and\n\nIEEE Turkey Section.\n\n\n\nPapers are invited on the following topics. Submitted papers will be\n\nreviewed by at least two members of the program committee. Conference\n\nProceedings will be published in Springer , LNCS.\n\n\n\n- Content Analysis and Representation\n\n- Feature Extraction and Content Classification\n\n- Multimedia Signal Processing\n\n- Evolutionary Algorithms in Content Based Multimedia Data\n\nRepresentation, Indexing and Retrieval\n\n- Transform Domain Representations\n\n- Multimodal Signal Processing\n\n- Multimedia Fusion in Surveillance and Monitoring Systems\n\n- 3D Object Retrieval and Classification\n\n- Multimedia Mining\n\n- Cultural Heritage\n\n- 3D Video and Free Viewpoint Video\n\n- Authentication, Content Protection and Digital Rights Management -\n\nAudio/Video/Image Watermarking/Fingerprinting\n\n- Information Hiding, Steganography, Steganalysis\n\n- Biometric Identification\n\n- Benchmarking and Comparative Studies\n\n- Multimedia Applications (Broadcasting, Medical, Biometrics, Content\n\nAware Networks, CBIR)\n\n\n\nSpecial Session on "3D Object Retrieval and Classification"\n\n\n\nThe efficiency of CAD tools to design 3D models and the strong\n\ndevelopment of numerical technologies to quickly digitize real objects \n\nboth contribute to the expansion of 3D databases. Tools for retrieving \n\ninformation become increasingly important in a variety of applications \n\n(medical imaging, molecular biology, industrial part catalogues,\n\ncultural heritage, computer animations, games, etc.). 3D object indexing \n\nis nowadays a very active research topic. This special session is  calling\n\nfor original, high-quality submissions that propose innovative  techniques\n\nand attractive applications in the field of 3D shape\n\nindexing, retrieval and classification:\n\n- 3D content-based browsing, indexing, search and retrieval methods -\n\nGeometric features extraction, 3D shape descriptors\n\n- Pose normalization\n\n- Queries by 3D model examples or by characteristic views\n\n- Indexing heterogeneous 3D databases: polygonal soups, manifold 3D \n\nmeshes, parametric CAD/CAM representations, 3D models with color texture \n\nmaps,...\n\n- 3D shape recognition and classification\n\n- Benchmarks, comparative studies, evaluation protocols and standards -\n\nVisualization methods, user interface design, presentation tools -\n\nOrganization and browsing of very large 3D database, system\n\noptimization for search and retrieval, generation of 3D database\n\nsummaries and abstractions\n\n- Annotation and relevance feedback techniques, knowledge representation \n\nand propagation\n\n- Domain-specific applications: medical, biometrics, molecular biology, \n\ncar manufacturing, cultural heritage, archaeology,...
