Introduction
The Network of Excellence AIM@SHAPE is taking the initiative to organize a 3D shape retrieval evaluation event: SHREC - 3D Shape Retrieval Contest. The general objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of 3D-shape retrieval algorithms. The contest is organized in conjunction with the SMI conference (Shape Modeling International) where the evaluation results will be presented.SHREC07

SHREC06
Last year's shape retrieval contest is described below.
Because of the short term, the contest consisted of a single
track. For subsequent years it is our intention to organize a multi-track
contest.
Schedule
- March 10 - Call for participation.
- March 24 - Distribution of the test collection, plus example queries.
- April 7 - Deadline for registration and candidate query submission.
- May 2 - Distribution of query set.
- May 4 - Result submission and draft short paper about the methods.
- May 26 - Distribution of relevance judgments and evaluation scores.
- June 2 - Submission of final short papers for the contest proceedings.
- June 14-16 - Results presented at a session of SMI06, proceedings available.

Collection
The contest collection consists of the unclassified and renamed set of models from the Princeton Shape Benchmark, downloadable from the PSB homepage or directly.
A few example queries are availabe for testing.
